MURGON FAT & STORE SALE 01/07/25

Good local rainfall meant a lighter yarding at this weeks sale, with Aussie Land & Livestock bringing in approximately 260hd of the 500hd total yarding. The effects of winter were clear with rough coats & lighter conditions present. Nevertheless, bulls topped at 273.2c/kg averaging $1,414.83/hd. Store cows averaged at 245.67c/hd for $1,238.61/hd. Lighter heifers averaged 280.36c/kg, medium heifers averaged 269.82c/kg, and heavy heifers topping at 312.2c/kg, with the 500-600kg weight bracket averaging at $1,607.28/hd. Good quality Charolais X steers sold for a top of 472.2c/kg for $1,274.17/hd. Medium steers averaged at 406c/hd topping at 364c/hd. The few feeder steers on hand averaged at 352c/hd topping at 376c/kg. Heavy steers at 600+kg averaged at 323c/hd topping at $2,635/hd.
