AUSSIE ANGUS & BRANGUS BULL SALE 20/08/2022
A successful day at Coolabunia Saleyards for the first Aussie Angus & Brangus Bull Sale. An offer 24 Angus bulls sold at 96% clearance for a top price of $24,000 and an average of $12,174 and 10 Brangus Bulls with a top price of $14,000 twice and an average $10,000.
“A great result, it’s a true representation of what the beef cattle job is doing at the moment and the demand for black cattle” Says Agent Corey Evans, the auctioneer for the sale, “the event was to give people within the South Burnett a chance to purchase quality Angus and Brangus Bulls, and we gave them that opportunity today”.
Mayor of the South Burnett Brett Otto officially opened the sale with Councillor Kathy Duff in attendance to show her support on the day.
Elite Livestock Auctions livestreamed the event for those who could not attend on the day with 23 bidders online.
A total of 8 vendors presented their bulls at the sale, from a variety of studs located within the South Burnett and Lockyer regions.
A good local buyer support at the sale with many bulls staying within the South Burnett with a few bulls heading up to the North Burnett as far as Mingo, as well as over towards the coast.
Top selling Bull from Lot 12, Ruby Ridge Silver S5, out of Te Mania Emperor, an AI and a rare straw to get in Australia since his passing. A Ruby Ride Angus repeat buyer Wes and Vicky Radke from Mundubbera purchased the bull and are pleased to have such a remarkable Bull to join their herd.
All bulls were in fit, working condition ready to perform with many happy vendors and buyers. Aussie Land & Livestock are looking forward to holding the next on the 19th of August next year and would like to thank all sponsors and supporters of the event. The couldn’t have gone as smoothly as it did without the use of the wonderful facilities at Coolabunia Saleyards, the transporters and the behind the scenes work of the yarders and agents.
